Through Project Hope, Horizons has been a part of kingdom-building by financially supporting, encouraging, and praying for hundreds of children since 2005.
If you are a current sponsor of Project Hope, thank you for your commitment to sharing hope, love, and opportunities with children in India! Your support has been the foundation for our sustainability with Project Hope and will continue to be essential in providing care for the children at Pratheeksha and Bethel! Become a new sponsor by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Project Hope provides children:
• The chance to know and experience life-change through Jesus Christ
• The empowerment to break out of poverty through education and opportunities
• The ability to focus and thrive because their minds and bellies are both full and nurtured
We are always looking for sponsors who donate to Project Hope monthly. If you’re interested, please email us at email@example.com. We also gladly accept donations of any amount of any time. We will do a few projects throughout the year specifically to support the two homes. Be on the lookout for these!
Hand in Hand is a partnership between Horizons and Zeman Elementary School. The goal is to build relationships, as well as to encourage and support Zeman students and staff.
•The Zeman Snack Attack - providing teacher treats for the beginning of the school year, Teacher Appreciation Day, and the end of the year
•Collecting school supplies for students whose families cannot afford them
•Collecting Box Tops for Education--10/15 and 2/15 turn-in deadlines
•Providing volunteers and games for the fall carnival at Zeman
•Family to Family - developing connections, providing meals, clothing, and support, as needed, to "adopted" families
•Providing Easter meals to families
•Volunteering in classrooms - listening to children read, working on flash cards, assisting children with writing, etc
If you don't already save Boxtops for Education, please start doing so. You can find them on various brands of packaging--General Mills, Betty Crocker, Hanes, Reynolds, Cascadian Farms, and Kimberly-Clark, for example. So, before you throw away the packaging on Kleenex, Ziplock bags, Old El Paso products, Hanes underwear, Cheerios; Lucky Charms or dozens of other products, please cut out the Boxtop for Education. Zeman School collects them to redeem for ten cents each. You can place the Boxtops for Education that you collect in containers on the counter by the Missions bulletin board in the church atrium, next to the pop machine.
Deadlines: October 7 and February 11
